I'm sure its going to be alot of work to do all the wiring thats necessary, but does anyone know if the motor will just drop right in? I've heard rumor that it would. Thanks.

Check out the Project Zero G forums. There's alot of swap info including one guy that is using a Colt. I mean the older Colt. There is one guy running a Colt that I've seen pictures of from Bushur's DSm meets. Check both the DSMTuners forums (seen them both there) and the Project Zero G. I'm doing a similar swap into a Datsun 510 as soon as I get off my ass and stop spending money on my 2G.

Crap, I just realized you meant the newer Colts. :o Yes, it should fit fine and the motor mounts all line up. The wiring harness in a non-turbo Colt should be the same as the non-turbo Eclipse as well as the ECU. Not sure if the tranny is the same, but would guess the turbo unit is stronger and has better gear ratios for the turbo motor.
