How much boost can a stock block take without any internal damage? i've heard the stock recirculation valve leaks at 17PSI... but then i started thinking about the engine... how much can it hold?
sorry about the spelling im a little drunk.

1) Dont post drunk

2) Your block isnt the weak link. Depending on what motor you have, it'll be either your rods or your pistons. Shep is running a stock block in the 7s.

3) There is no 3, I lied. However, I am watching Die Hard while eating breakfast at work. I'm annoyed that I have to watch it on my laptop and not on the 42 inch LCD screens.

It's not about maximum PSI on a turbo, it's airflow. Are you running a stock turbo? stock fuel setup? You'll hit fuel cut long before you have internal damage on a stock setup.

Post your current setup, and your goals first. Then we'll be able to give you a real answer.

Welcome to the boards. :)

Yeah, everything is stock, but I took off the vacuum hose to the actuator. I hear hissing before the boost starts kicking in. It almost sounds like it's trying to boost, then it goes  Weird?

I guess I just need someone to point me in the right direction. I don't want the car to be crazy fast, just stupid fast so I can take it to the strip and make Corvettes cry. Can anyone blame me?

I have no idea where to start. Air filter? Downpipe? Turbo-back? Turbo? Fuel system? Piggyback ecu? Oh, the choices.... Help?

Off topic, does anyone know where I can find OEM replacement parts like mirrors , OEM Eclipse spoiler, and weather stripping?

but i took of the vacuum hose to the actuator.

Wait, are you saying you don't have a hose going to the turbo's wastegate actuator? If so, you're going to want to hook that back up.
