My buddies 95 Talon seized today... looking for a running 420a for a good
deal... gimme a call at 719 567-789 (work) or 720 560 6358 (cell).

Anyone know if Jack works on the NA's much?

Well it wont let me change the title, but just incase I'm confused about the designator (I just checked it was a NA 2.0L) (I was thinkin the 420a was 2.4L).

I posted on rmdsm for you also. I can get these from wrecked cars. 100k ish miles, 30 day guarantee. They're not super cheap though (looks like those days may be gone, yard prices keep going up).

I tend not use RMDSM as much...but it would be ~$600. If you're not far from Denver I could also deliver.

Can you give me a call at 719 567 2789 or gimme a # to call you at?

It would be Co Springs... so.. how far is "close"? ;)

I'll call your friend on Friday to be sure, but that yard mentioned doesn't list any 2g's in thier inventory.

Turns out they don't guarantee those motors at $95...If you're willing to chance it I'd still be happy to bring one of those down. Or for the $600 it would come with a guarantee.

I'll also have to take a good look at them once I get there to be sure they aren't super high miles or any problems with the oil, and other things like that.

Assuming that's all good then I can bring it down on Friday night. I suppose I could bring in a battery to try a compression test, but it's his call either way.

Just talked to him, $600 is fine, compression test would be good, anything extra for that?

Nothing extra for the compression test...I just need the tranny and starter to be available (a little more difficult since I don't have these parts lying around for the 420a).

I'll let you know on Friday what I find. If they don't have any at that yard, then it might not be until Saturday that I can get it, but I'll let you know.

Hey Dan, can you get in touch with me or Jason soon? Got some questions and need 1 thing before we can get the money for you.

After seeing a friend spend 3 engines in a n/a Eclipse, I'm not 420 friendly :)

Well, yah if he had the money he'd move to a turbo, but money is the key here.
