I plan on going and making a few passes to do some tuning, anybody else going to be there?
I'll likely show up around 4:30 and get some runs in before it gets crowded, then hang for a bit and watch.
If anyone is going to be there, could I sweet talk you into holding a video camera? I have internal video of some passes and I'd like to have an external vid or two as well.
Hope to see another DSM there.

If my car is done I _might_ be there, and I can bring my 1080i camera, but no promises.

I was hoping to get my clutch broken in by then, but I still have a way to go. I wonder why they are doing these test and tunes on weekdays. There appears to be several free weekends on the calendar. That sure would be a lot more convenient for those of us who live out of town.

Among other things, fighting food poisoning. No way in hell I'll be there, sorry.

Hey, I've got a pretty good remedy for food poisoning (ok, "remedy" implies hocus pocus BS - this is well documented with probably dozens of microbiology journal articles). Get some bovine colostrum from GNC or some place like that and start with 1000 mg. If symptoms don't clear within a 3 hours, take another 1000 mg. Keep doing this every 2-3 hours until sympoms clear. Colostrum is full of immunoglobulins that block enterotoxicity and immunosuppressing proteins from intestinal microbes and provide short term immunity from food poisoning while allowing your body to clear them much faster. For E. Coli, 1000 mg a day for two or three days is usually enough (since its source is usually bovine, and cattle contain immunity to their own bacteria) while for something really nasty like salmanella, 10,000-12,000 mg a day for two weeks might be required to supress symptoms until it is eradicated.

I've got an appointment with a gastroenterologist, so with any luck I'll get it fixed up.

What a fun night last night!
Many many thanks to Steven for flagging me down and taking over the laptop to make the car really fly. He worked his voodoo with the keyboard and added 3mph to the cars previous best trap. With the car running better I also increased boost (25ish). The best trap of the night was 113, the best ET was 12.44. The scale read 3530 with me in the car after the last run of the night, that's with about a 1/2 tank of fuel.
I'll fill in more details when I'm not at work, just wanted to share.

I am 100% sure the one good video I got was a 12.42@111. The 12.44 was the previous pass. Good job with the car scott. Glad to hear it his 113 after I left. Yea for the 20g.

Here's a rundown of the car's new bests:
Best 60' run
60' 1.719,
1/4 12.441 @111.03
Best trap
60' 2.12
1/4 12.813@113.78
Best ET
60' 1.804
1/4 12.424@111.36
We had to hang for a while in the staging lanes before my last run. I was 2nd in line, with the engine turned off and had the fans running and an DC-AC converter running to charge the laptop. When I got under the building I couldn't start the car because the battery was dead. I rolled Bandi's start cart to the car and one of the track dudes connected it up to boost the car. We got it running, and I didn't want to keep the folks in line waiting any longer than necessary so I rushed through staging while simulaneously getting the laptop running for logging. As soon as the 2nd stage light was lit they hit the tree countdown, so I didn't get to launch on the green, I had to sit there for a 1/2 second or so while I got everything lined up. The sad part is that I was racing a Z06; he got the win light but I had a better ET. I could've beat a Z06! Dan Richie got that run on video, including a snap of me running around trying to get the car started. An embarrassing lesson for sure, but no harm done except to my ego.

I'm curious, what does a stock Z06 run at Bandimere?
