Top is E.T, bottom is trap speed, what's the bottom number shown before the end of the run? I can't make sense of it.

You mean the reaction time?

Is that what it is? I've seen it display things like 6.87, and I don't recall ever seeing anyone sit at the tree for 6 seconds after the green. Unless it showed .687 and I misread it.

I think it shows 6.87 but means .687.

For the sake of comparison, a while ago I remember hearing that .4 was pretty much perfect.

I usually see it like .250 or something (less than a second). But yes, I know what you're talking about, i've seen some 3.41 or something like that before. Anyone else know the real deal here?

They changed the way it displays reaction times for one.
For bracket it use to be .500, pro tree was .400

Now it shows the difference from a perfect reaction.

So if its showing 1.20, then that is a .120 reaction from a perfect reaction.

If you are watching durring eliminations of bracket racing, I believe it shows their dial in.

Ahhhh! I've been wondering what the hell was going on with the reaction times - I'd swear I didn't red light, but the r/t would be like 0.1 or 0.2. I used to actually compete in ET racing when I was younger and had an automatic transmission and was pretty good at the light, but now I just do test and tune days and have noticed that my R/Ts were all screwed up and I couldn't figure out for the life of me how I was screwing up every run.

.000 there would be a perfect light. On the slip it is still .400 and .500. But on the board it moves the decimal over one. I usually average .0xx-.1xx on the board. I red light a lot how ever as I anticipate the stupid sportsman tree anymore. I have since started working on the pro tree. Need practice there.

The slip doesnt read .500 or .400 on a perfect reaction, it reads .000,
at least for Bandimere and Firebird any ways.

Sorry, I am thinking of Capitol Raceway and Maryland International Raceway. I think it was the same way at Wall Dragway in texas.
