Hey All,

It seems liek the inside of my tires seem to be bald(very close to the chord), when the rest of the tire looks brand new. I know the car's been lowered, cause there's coilovers on all four. I was wondering how can I adjust my camber to help the tires...

More than likely it's a front toe problem. You'll want to get an alignment before you lose a tire while driving.

So I'm guessing I should go get new tires then get them alighned. Anyone know of some good sticky tires that I can get (untill I have to put on my steelies and snow tires)

Depending on how low it is you may need aftermarket adjustable bits to get your camber where you want it but toe is what eats tires 99% of the time. If you fix that you should be just dandy.

I believe these have the camber adjustment kit already, but I've been told it's most likely alignment

Yes well.. camber and toe are both parts of your alignment ;) It's the toe part that is chewing your tires up, period. A good alignment will fix that.

well my brother helped me align my tires (they had a toe out of 3/4") so we toe'd them in 1/8" as soon as I can find 20 lug nuts to fit the stock rims I can put on my brother's old wheels so I don't have to worry about the tires for a little bit.

1/8" of toe will still cause wear on the street but no where near as bad as 3/4" that is horrid! I try to stay as close to 0 toe as possible on my cars, it wanders a little bit but turn in is better and it wears perfectly evenly.

well, i thnk that was as close as we were going to get it the other night... The tires are already phucked and I'm just looking for those lugnuts so I can put on the replacement wheels (for the time being)

I thought you took it to Firestone Nic? Why do you need different lugs for your old wheels?

well I didn't have the money for firestone, and I can't really deny a free alighnent from someone who has 10+ years of experiance with these cars. The lugs that are on my car now look like they won't go on the stock rims (think its the depth or something)

I may have a set of stock lugs... I forget if I got them when I bought my second set of wheels/tires.....

the reason you car had such bad toe problem is the guy that owned it before you used it for autocross only and didnt daily drive it from what i remember. Go on awdpirates and ask him for a mod list of what he had done to the car.
