Well my day wasn't real exciting, I left my logger at home and never really dialed in the car the way I wanted it. Ran 3 runs, with like a 5min break between each run which also sucked. 1st run 12.53 at 108 2nd run Stutterbox would not go above 5k ran 13.2 at 105. On the third run I was going to try some race gas but I didn't even have time to check my timing let alone re-tune the car and add in race gas, anyways I turned the boost up to 21psi and ran 12.7 at 108. Still pretty far off from my 11.9-8 I want to run but I'll reach that goal sometime this year. ;)

Still had a great time and the Bakini contest wasn't too shabby, there were EVO's everywhere, lots of girls, some nice Supra's and the Pro guys were pretty fast running 7s and high 6s, the turbo's on those cars were insane, they looked like they could fill a whole engine bay in one of our cars.

I also had a 17.4 @ 100 pass too though... bah to spinning tires to an AMAZING 3.4 60' !

Thanks seth. When you race. one can never see everyone else run.
THe first run of me had a bad bog. But that wasn't just it. It took me (according to the DSMLink log) exactly 2seconds to find 3rd to continue down the track. But still in motion, I guess that can translate into about a 1.5sec lost at the end possibly. Using my average track times for that weekend.

I would have been more prepared if I want scrambling to get the nitrous installed. Someday I'll get around to bringing up a real grill and more food.

As far as my races....
I think my clutch is slipping or something. I'm going to take it out tonight and do some launches.
I think I'm going to rebuild my transmission before I go up racing again.

O, and if you want a better quality video I have them, they are all dvd quality.

When your at that level it really doesn't matter what side your on. I've made it a point to never get hooked on one side or the other, but the Mopar side seems to be my lane. Because of this I almost always try to Pepsi lane it so I try to rid myself of this Mopar favoritism. Its funny though how we have our favorites.

First heads up race I ran in I took the Pepsi lane against Erron in the Mopar lane (this was IDRC 2001 or 2002 when it rained out) for qualifying. Dropped the clutch on the green light and she jumped during the launch! Shifted into second and everything seemed ok. Shifted into third as I looked over eye to eye with Erron (he later said this surprised him and he hit his special little boost button). Third gear he jumps out on me a car and a half into the traps. I get to the end of the track and start that left turn to head to get my slip and .... POP, jump, POP POP, jump all the way around that corner. That's when I figured out I snapped my center diff on the launch. I grab my slip and look at it... 1.9 60ft (only slow one that year) 12.9@108MPH. But this event along with several little other ones has put a dark cloud over the pepsi lane for me.

So after telling this story and realizing Erron was in the same situation and the same lanes when Shawn broke his center diff against him this weekend. I'm never racing against Erron again and I think none of you should either if you like your car.

Yeah, Erron's bad luck....he put some type of voodoo on my car and made me break at the line. The center diff was fine for the last 160,000 miles and five seasons at the track.

Forced upgrade right? Thanks to Chris for the transmission loaner, I'm going to be getting a transmission sent off to Sheperd for a stage 4 rebuild. The I just need to learn how to launch the car with a twin disc clutch. I'll have to learn how to slip the clutch a little better.

You may want to look into boring out your slave (or master) cylinder to widen the engagement window, since your 2G should already have the larger 13/16" slave.

Which twin disc setup do you have? PTT is producing a release bearing insert that is supposed to improve the engagement properties of their twin disc clutch. I don't know whether it's compatible with QM, CM, Tilton, etc.

Ahhh, one of my favorite phrases. Forced Upgrade. Which is right up there with my other favorite phrase, If Your Going To Go, Go Big. And of course Shawn is going big too with that stage 4 setup minus the welded diff of course cause he still thinks he has a "street" car. At least I got him to go from the stage 3 to the 4 just with the 4 spyder so he can turn with ease. When he kills the transfer case I'm going to try to talk him into lending me back my tranny while he waits for the money for the transfer case upgrade. Which with the drive shaft is actually more than the tranny! MOOOWWWHHAHAAHAAHAA!

I only kid, I only kid....I get to keep his broken one and that's fine by me. Hopefully its not as broken as the one I gave him. :D

Shouldn't be hardly any of us that would have been able to do that because most of us are AWD (only one roller on there). Is that with that intake you showed me on there or have you not gotten that yet?

And yes chris, that is with the intake, but I found out my car has a speed limiter at 105 mph/4500 rpms. They said my car didnt hit peak HP cause of this. They said if it could have it would have been more like 120hp.
