Do the cam seals needs to replaced when putting in new cams? Also if so, does anyone have the part number? Also what type of lube should be used, or will basic assembly lube be sufficient?

Only replace them if they're torn up. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry aboot it.
Make sure your new cams have the alignment dowel pins in them!

I got two at my house if you need them Eddy. I didn't need new ones when I did my engine. They're cheap, and if I remember right its the same seal regardless of what year. Sorry, I'm too lazy to install CAPS here at work to get the part number for you.

Hmm, I havent looked at the cams to verify whether they do or do not have the dowels in them. They are still in the boxes, amongst the rest of the parts that are sitting in my room collecting dust. So I figure I should install them or sell them. The cams are FP2.'s.

They should have the dowels for sure. If you bought a new set without dowels send them back. That would be rediculous not to have them. I was talking about the cam seals not dowels. I have two cam seals if you want them.

Alright. How much would you like for them? Also do you still have your 2 gauge bezel that you had for sale?

Whatever I paid. They shouldn't be even more than $2 apiece if I remember.
Sorry, the 2 gauge bezel was sold to my buddy in Seatle. Reminds me though I still have my 3 gauge pod thingy to sell. Give me a call if you still have my number or check your PMs because I'm PMing it to you.

When I got my Webcams a few years ago, they didn't come with new dowels. I tried to remove the factory dowels, but good luck with that crap.
Luckily I worked at a DCX dealership at the time. The parts catalog showed two different choices for a 1g motor and there was no specification as to which ones they took. They had different prices too.
Just to be sure, I bought a set of each one and measured them with my dial calipers when they came in. Both part numbers were identical in size down to the thousandth of an inch. I thought I had the part numbers, but I don't anymore. Sorry!

Why not replace the seals. Camshaft lube should always be used when installing new camshafts.
