Hi,
I just changed all 16 1g lifters to the "3rd generation" for my brother gsx but how come it still making the ticking noises.

Did you happen to change the oil when you did this? I have the revised lifters also and have had them tick on me once...so I changed the oil and all is well again:)

I haven't changed the oil yet. I still have like 1-2k miles on the oil.

well, you can't change your oil enough...kind of like a timing belt :D

I agree with you, right now it's raining like heck. Are there any other explanations to why they are still making noises. I probably change the oil tomorrow and see if it will eliminate the problem

Maybe the lifters need to be bled of any air. There are a few good threads on it here.

How do you bled the air out the lifters ? I really need help

not sure if you still have the balance shaft but when i replaced my "lifter tick" i later found out that the balance shaft pulley was basically ticking almost the exact same noise as the usual lifter noise. Is the noise constant or louder upon start-up?

Oil is 10-30W, usually it doesn't make the ticking noise when i first start the engine
