Sorry i'd been posting to much on the forum. I guess my fun with DSM just begin.

Does anyone having problem with their heater not working properly after doing a 6 bolt swap ? It doesn't matter how high i turn my heater knob the car blower only blows warm air. I didn't have this problem before the swap, i always had hot air when i turn the heater knob to hot. could anyone give me some information on what i need to do to fix the problem.

The cold weather is coming up.

I changed the thermostat (192*)

I don't know if this is the cause for the car only having warm air or not. I custom made the routing for the coolant lines to the turbo, it's a B16G. Before it didn't have one

Thanks,
V

What temps are you logging?

192* thermostat is very high IMO also.

possible large air pocket or heter core might be on its way out

Or not enough coolant...

My vote is for low coolant and/or air pocket. This can be dangerous to your engine, as the temperature sensor in the water neck may be sensing the 180* air pocket while your coolant is boiling in the block. I lost an engine to this scenario once.

coolant is full, I think is air pocket inside the heater core. How do i remove the air pocket in the heater core

Coolant RESERVOIR is full, or the radiator? With an air pocket problem, your reservoir can be all the way full yet the radiator might be half empty.

Try this with a cold, powered-off engine:
Turn the heater knob to full hot.
Remove the filler cap from the water neck.
Put a funnel (there is a short, yellow funnel available at most local auto stores that seals quite well against a DSM filler port) on the water neck and pour in coolant so it rises about a half inch ABOVE the maximum level, into the funnel. Repeatedly squeeze the lower radiator hose, while watching the coolant level in the funnel. If it gradually drops, your radiator is not full.

Do these steps when the engine is not running correct ? Just turn the key on

"Remove the filler cap from the water neck."

It this the plastic bottle reservoir right ?

I think he is talking about the radiator cap at the top of the upper radiator hose.

I bought a temp guage today and will put it in tomorrow.

Problem fixed? What temps were you running?
