Hey, I'm going to be ordering DSMlink tomorrow night and I'm still debating sending in my ECU to DSMlink or having it done locally. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that does socketing in the Springs, and how much they charge. (its not all about price, more about convince, I'd rather take out the ECU and put it back in once than borrow one and do it twice)

I could socket your ECU for you while-you-wait, but I'm up in Longmont. If you're interested, let me know and we can arrange a time to do it. My standard fee is $30, so it's a wash price-wise vs. having DSMlink do it for you; however, if you're willing to make the drive and wait around about an hour, it could save you some downtime.

Yea, that's the other thing, down-time, i've had someone offer me the use of their 95 ECU while I'm waiting for shipment... Anyone had Kibo do this for them?

I have had Erik do this on several of my ECU's. He's top notch and somewhat anal really, but not a bad thing in regards to an ECU. Just make sure you don't tell him to take his time. ;-)

Got ya, bring my .45 lol
Ok, I'll keep looking for someone close, if I don't find one, I'll take you up on that. It'll give me a chance to tune on the way home.

I would suggest downloading the user's guide for dsmlink now, read it over a couple times, then get on the forum and ask a couple questions, then read the dsmlink wiki, and then go back and read the user's guide again. This will help things make sense before the link gets here so you have a good idea of where to start tinkering. You will have a lot of reading to do if you want to understand what you are changing and why- it's not that complicated once it all comes together, but this will help a lot.
When you get it, let us know how it's working:)

Well I'm hoping I can get my brother to come with me and do the initial tuning on the drive back and explain what he's doing. That reading should give me something to do while I'm at "work" tomorrow lol. And something to do on my way to be.
Again, thanks for all the help that you guys have given me.
