I guess as a Mini owner you’re suppose to name your car; I do talk to mine, but just haven’t found a suitable name for it yet. It’s stock right now, but I’m hoping to customize it with some Zip-Zap modifications next year (lol).

I decided to get one after some hard test drives (S model is the only way to go). They hold their value extremely well and that was the deciding factor for me to buy one. My plan was to drive it through the winter and order a new one if I liked it (there’s a 6 month waiting period).

You feel very connected to the road thanks to some good engineering – although the suspension can be a little harsh at times. I do have run-flats on the car which do contribute to the harsh ride too. I have noticed that the IC does easily heat soak with 70*+ temps, so fixing that problem would be the highest priority for me.

I still haven’t gotten over the “I drive that small little thing” while walking up to it, but when I get in it’s always fun to drive and the car actually feels larger inside.

It's not a Powerful car and it's not a practical car either, but it is fun to drive =D

That's a nice car. My girlfriend has been interested in buying one for some time now, she just can't get over how expensive they are (even for used). She's only really checked autotrader though, do you have any suggestions as to where to look? I told her to buy one...as long as it was supercharged LoL.

Nope they hold their value extremely well. The used ones go for what a new one costs - supply and demand. The only "cheap" ones I know of are base models and they kind of feel and look cheap compared to an "upgraded" one.

The only recommendations I have are:

Try to buy a '04+ (better transmission and a few issues addressed).

Don't use run-flats and also run with 16" rims instead of 17's. (better ride).

Max.

When I was compiling my short list of cars to replace the A4, a mini S was near the top of the list. :)
