I know this has been brought up before. ive done the searches and i just can seem to find quite what im looking for. I want some opinions on what people would think the best MAS opition for my setup would be. Im currently running a 3inch GM MAF blow thru and the tuning just feels off. and it also feels odd running a GM product with my car. i noticed that the DSM link only lets you adjust up to 4000hz. isnt that what the 2G MAS goes up to? keep in mind this is my daily driver so im looking for something that will help with holding and keeping a decent tune ( i had to do a lot of re-adjusting with the GM MAF). well here is some of the basics of my setup,

1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD
Presican Turbo 60trim T3/T4
Dejon FMIC blow Thru set up
Port and Polished Head w/ oversized valves
.020 8.5:1 wisco pistons w/ eagle rods
DSMlink
750cc injectors
6 -AN fuel line from Pump to rail, Adjustable FPR
Walbro 255
HKS 272 intake and exhaust
Tial external wastgate (mounted to the O2 housing)

Feel free to ask qustions and to recommend things.

2g or the 3g/EVO mas should suit you just fine.

Stock MAS's perform the best.

Terry, if you want help, I can get your GM MAF to drive just like stock. Not too hard. The ideal way is with a wideband(not sure if you have one), but we can probably get her close. If you would be willing to pay for 1/2-1 hour of dyno time, we can use their wideband and get her right on. I would do this free of charge and just for the enjoyment of your time and company.

If you chose to pursue, call me. And if it came to using a facility, I am fond of the gentlemen at MAC Autosport.

No i currently do not have a wideband O2. i know it would make things easier but kinda short on cash right now. i might take up your offer steven in a little while. currently the car is not mobile (needs a TB rebuild, computer re-socketing and an Ignition lock cylinder. some one tryed to jack my car). i just want this car to feel close to stock, it will be my daily driver.

I used to run a FP Red setup and I started it off with a 2G MAS but later went to a GM MAFT setup. The 2G MAS was able to handle 26psi no problem on my Red (which was around 40lbs/min IIRC) so I don't think you'd have any issues with it on you're setup.

I enjoyed my GM MAFT setup when I had it over the stock 2G MAS setup because I could spool a couple hundred RPMs faster. I realized when I went to the MAFT that things were never going to be perfect but I could get them close. There are several threads on this list and others about tuning your MAFT setup to get everything calibrated correctly. Here is one (http://codsm.org/forums/showthread.php?t=355)

If you go the route of an Evo MAS, definitely try to find a #482 (IIRC) 3G MAS instead. It flows 99% of the Evo MAS, and it's usually much cheaper and easier to find. As an added bonus, it's not as long as the 2G MAS and it's round, so it's much easier to fit. I bought one to use in my 2G, but I ended up using it in my 1G because the shorter length made it much easier to fit with the stock SMIC piping. You'll need a different connector to adapt the 3G/EVO MAS to the 1G harness.

To make it run well, it would be best to modify the EPROM maps directly. I don't have experience modifying a 1G DSMlink EPROM, but I'm pretty certain I could take care of it for you. I'm a bit of a hex head. :p
