View Full Version : Dejon Tool BOV Leak Stop surge in cold weather

I'm hoping someone here has some ideas for me.

A few years back I did the Dejon Tool BOV Leak Stop mod. It works great except in cold weather where I get a surging when lifting the gas slightly under part-throttle. It's almost like the slower reacting function of the BOV mod doesn't work and the BOV only opens quickly when the weather is cold.

Any ideas what I can change to prevent this behavior?

Try adjusting the bov.. Assuming you are using one that can be adjusted..

The only thing you can do to help alleviate that behavior is to return the BOV to "stock" form. Meaning. Route the bottom port of the BOV back to a pressure only source.

Yeah I might just do that for the winter months.

My Talon has been downgraded (or maybe it's upgraded) to my nicer weather car, so it's not a big deal, just annoying when it's cold out and I feel the need to drive the Talon.

It's been a great mod overall, though!
