Valve Cover Helicoil

Has anybody done the valve cover Heli-Coil to fix striped valve cover bolts? If so how did it go and how well do they work? Also does anybody have the tool to do it? I don't feel like paying $30 for the tool if I could borrow someones?

I have a bunch of HeliCoils, but nothing that small. It will certainly fix your issue if you have a stripped hole. The stainless threads work great and are very, very strong. A good investment IMO, you'll probably use it again.

yea a lot of the racers i work with have me helicoil all the holes because its stronger then the aluminum
