I am looking to put my cams in today/tomorrow but I am not having any luck finding any 8m x 1.25 all thread to make the tensioner tool. Anyone know how long this piece needs to be? Does anyone know where to purchase some metric all thread? I have tried Napa, Lowes, Ace, Autozone, and Home deport. None of these places carry metric, only SAE. I have read that you can use a 5/16" rod and just get a die to make it, but doesnt sound like a recommended way. Or does anyone have the tool I could borrow for a few days? I dont have a 1g, so the battery tie down trick wont work unfortunately.

Thanks
Eddy

Are you sure Home Depot didnt have it?

I know I bought mine at Home Depot, they had a bunch of threaded rod and it took me a while to sift threw it all.

I didnt get to actually go to Home depot to verify, but the 2 stores that I called said they didnt have any. They only carried SAE threaded rod. Ill stop by there today after work if all else fails.

Uhhh... I own two of the Miller Special Tools for that. Where are you located? If you're in Fort Collins, you may be able to borrow one.

I saw a thread about using your battery tie down rod and threading it so that you always have it handy! It's really hard to lose when you have it holding down the battery!
