2g ecu. IC106 is completely fried. Its determined that 106 controls boost and fuel pressure solenoids. Is there any way to fix that? Will post pics up as soon as I get home.

You should be able to run without that as most people pull that stuff anyway. Is the car dead?

Yeah, one of the fuel pressure solenoid wiring had a dead plug and my buddy just cut it off. Could that be the cause of this failure? The ecu is fried it wont turn on at all rendering the car DEAD. Ugh these cars.

Does the car start and then die or does the car not start at all? Does the check engine light come on for a couple seconds when the key is first turned to "ON"?
Usually, the driver chips don't kill the entire ecu. Cutting the wires could have caused the problem if the wires were accidently shorted together.

It will only crank, the ecu wont turn on at all. We checked the iac and its shorted. Here are the pics.

I have repaired a few of those. Fixing the traces and replacing the output ICs will fix the problem. That is caused by a shorted IAC which it looks like you already found, but the car should still be able to run with those burned up like that. I have seen many ECUs in the same condition that came in for socketing but the customer had no clue the output ICs were damaged. The car ran find but had idle issues. There might be something else going on if the car doesn't run. I would check to see if the caps are leaky and if anything got on the board to cause an open around there too. May also want to follow a few of the traces from the output ICs and see if there is an open near the power supply area.

If you can't get it fixed, I have a non Eprom ECU I could part with for a decent price. Drop me a PM if you need it.

I would say there is a 90% chance I can fix it, yes. I just don't know for sure without looking at the damage a little closer. I have all of the parts here including the ISC ouput ICs, so parts are not the problem it is the damage to everything else that could be an issue...
