There used to be a write-up on VFAQ but it's gone. I'd think if you have all the parts (lines, proportioning valves, master cylinder?) you'd be OK just to swap everything out. Maybe trying to find an intact non-ABS car of the same year/make would be beneficial, so that you can see exactly how the system is set up.

It's really easy. I did the same thing when I first got my car. If you have all the lines and hardware bits it is a no-brainer.

These are the 4 lines you need and the new distrabution block

You want to bolt up the new distrabution block and connect the two rear break lines they connect to the top of the block on either side.

Now what I figured out the hard way. Get the two lines that go to the master cilinder in place don't bolt them up just yet. The line that goes to the back of the master cilinder closest to the firewall, goes to the front hole on the distribution block closest to the master cilinder. Then the other master cilinder line goes to the other front hole on the distribution block.

Next is getting the drivers side front break line in, it routs kind of in between the two master cilinder lines. Get it through the hole in the fender well first then rought it through to the bottom hole on the distrabution block.

The passangers side front break line is about the easiest line to install you just run it through the fender well, then manuver it to the last open hole on the distrabution block.

Nice write up! How much weight do you think it saves? After looking at the lines you pulled, I'm glad my 95 GSX didn't come with ABS!

I don't know about weight but now I don't have that huge eye sore lol plus the $10 back n scrape aluminum was well worth it :p

I think I weighed it out to save about 20lbs when I deleted my abs. The controller is really the only thing of weight but man is it heavy for what it is.

Is it worth it? I have abs and want to get rid of it, its a cluster in the engine compartment.

I thought it was worth it, it makes the engine bay so much more open and I think it gives better control when breaking.
