I stopped by Skyline Mitsu to have the code pulled.
$110. Mile High quoted me $45?
Bad relay switch $275 (good thing I have one already I think)
low current
Bad G sensor
I will replace the relay and hope all is good.
Girl who wrote up my service work has a 2G Talon. She showed me a picture and some info on the new Ralliart Eclipse. 400 hp out of a turbo 4G63. AWD. Mueller/RRE suspension (you just can't ask any questions about this).
I suspect the price will be too high for my liking - $50K or higher.

Paul, you paid $110 for someone to pull the code on your Eclipse? Don't you have DSMLink?
Or am I missing something here? Hell man, I would've done it for free if you'd brought it over.

Paul had the code pulled from the ABS computer. I wonder if there is any other way to get the code other than the dealer scan tool.
I had a wheel sensor code on my 1g a very long time ago. I think it comes back once a year or so and then goes away when I cycle power on the car. It's so infrequent I haven't paid much attention to it.

Der. I'm a retard, I completely missed the fact that this was an ABS light diagnosis and not a CEL.
If there's a way to do it outside of the dealer, I haven't heard of it.

The FSM lists a way to do it with a multimeter, but I am not sure how you read the voltage or if you have more than one code. It was a little obscure.
Dealer thought the closest relay was in Dallas. :) I found mine last night.

Ah man, i've done the analog code pulling a few times. It's pretty easy to do actually, kinda like reading morris code, spikes and long spikes. Ironically, a $7 analog meter from Radio Shack is easier to extrapolate the code from than my $200 digital. Or, we could have just borrowed Ron's O scope and done it really easy. (used that figure out the shift light grounding issue from the output of the transistor pack)

Well I have a $7 analog meter. After I replace the relay if I still get the light maybe we can give it a try.

I cant wait to see what the insurance is going to be like on one of those. However it seems thats more of the corvette market, the older, less lead footed drivers, rather then the young society that seem to drive evos these days.

Whoa? I have an ABS light too that I need to figure out. Do you mind sharing on how you pull the codes? Which pins and what number is which failure is all I need. Thanks a lot!!

I've done it on my stealth, and what Paul was saying, it sounds the same on the TEL's. I don't have a TEL service manual, but should be in there somewhere. Maybe we need a code pulling day?
