View Full Version : Is this the correct layout for the Dejon BOV mod?

I summoned my MSPaint skills and came up with the attached diagram of how I think the Dejon modded BOV should be hooked up with a boost controller. I'm not sure if it's right, can someone who's used one tell me if I'm on the right track?

Look at this link for information on how to install the Dejon BOV mod.

It doesn't explain what to do with the boost controller in exact terms, and that's why I posted my little picture.

My valve might be different from yours, but there are two halves to the valve I use. One half has 3 ports labeled 1, 2, and 3. The other half of the valve is just a pressure input. The pressure input for me was hooked to the same place my boost gauge was plumbed into. Port 1 on the other half was left open to atmosphere. Port 2 was connected to the BOV extra port you created, as your drawing indicates. Port 3 went to a pre-throttle body (no vacuum) source. I used port A2 on the throttle body.

I use an intake manifold pressure source for my EBC since I don't have a nipple on the compressor outlet elbow anymore, but the way you have yours listed should work, except for port 1. On mine that's open to atmosphere and the pressure source is the other half of the valve.

Hope this makes sense. If not I can snap some pictures for you, Scott.

I think I've got it now, thanks. You had your pressure source plumbed into your boost gauge input; to keep my hose lengths reasonable I can tee from the BOV line assuming that line sees pressure and not just vacuum.

Yep, that looks right.
