Hey, I'm in the market for a motorcycle, I just got a job up in boulder and the DSM isn't the most fuel efficent vehicle for driving up there daily, so I'm in the market for a bike. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good motorcycle dealerships in the metro area. I'm looking to get a Yamaha or a Suzuki.

Well, it's hard to say if they're really that good, but I've bought two bikes through Colorado Powersports. I'd say if you know what you want and what you want to pay, you can usually make out alright, but if you haven't bought a bike before, they'll probably try and abuse you on the price.
Otherwise, I'd say check out Fay Myers.
What are you thinking about getting? Buying used might be a good option, too. Remember (this goes for new, as well), you're buying during the peak of the season, so prices are going to be less negotiable than if you bought in winter or early spring.

I'm looking into getting a Yamaha R1 or FZ-1 or a Suzuki GSX-R (1000CC) or Hybusa.

Well, I can tell you from experience that the '06 GSX-R1000 is the baddest motorcycle I've ever had the privelege to ride or own. If you want a bike that pretty much blows everything away in every category, get the 1000.

How heavy is that bike, I've been partial to the R1 because I know for a while it's been the lightest bike in its class.

I believe it's 368 dry. It's not actually the static weight that makes liter bikes feel like they turn more sluggishly, it's the additional gyroscopic effects from the heavier crank, addition of balance shafts, etc. Just FYI.
Really, I'd be pretty surprised to find someone that was actually unhappy with ANY of the liter bikes. I just happen to be partial to Suzuki.

Well like I said it's between a Yamaha or a Suzuki, so I will probably give a test drive to both and see how I like the handling and power in each, that's the only real way I'm going to figure out which one I want to purchase.

Not you'll even necessarily notice it, but the current generation of R1's have a serious power dip around 7000RPM. And their more expensive than the GSXR1000. Just something to think about, I know I did.
