My friend in the springs new a guy in the air force from michigan who was stationed at peterson afb with a turbo spirit! It was not a rt model but really cool none the less, a lot of low end grunt as well(he was apparently a huge mopar guy with the "jdm honda" equivalent in parts that he had on his spirit)! I would love to get an omni glhs or anything similiar, if you are not aware of this site already there is a great website for these cars called http://www.turbododge.com/forums/ good luck finding one man! They are very cool sleepers! I want an omni bad, I just can't find any!

We paid $250 for it, and $200 for the parts car next to it. Same turbo platform as the Spirit and Omni. He is happy with it. Someone had already started the Turbo Z conversion, hence the body kit.

A buddy of mine had a Shelby GLHS Omni...very cool. Last time I got to go for a drive he was in the low 13's range - and in that car that meant hold on

Too bad the Omni and Spirit are so damn ugly. I know they can be sleepers and are rare but the price you pay for a decent GLH, you can buy a nice DSM. The Laser is a better looking car. Just my opinion. No offense to any GLH or Spirit owners.

Good deal on the Lasers Mike!

Thanks Bro. As odd as it sounds, all Nicks car needed was a windshield and an earlier head. Got the Daytona that came with both, so His should be running by the beginning of the year. More pics soon.

Cool! I think any dodge turbo is a good way to go fast for cheap, but like others have said the dsm is the better platform, but I still want an omni or something similiar maybe a 2 door sundance, make it a featherweight autox vehicle!

Oh yea, I still put Julias ,92 above all else, but we found this and it was priced right, and gives a chance for Nick to know everything about his car as we are changing the head. All the reading I have done, It s far easier and cheaper to go fast in a DSM, but a good for a starter for the kid. LOL. Try the turbo Caravan :p.

Turbo caravan... haha. I used to know a kid with a 14 second caravan, it was priceless to watch it run down the track. Oh how I miss the turbo brick.
