Seemed like as good a place as any for this...
I work at a bar that is currently looking for a door guy to maybe work 1-2 nights a week. It's a mellow place in the Cap Hill area of East Colfax. I've worked there since April and only broken up one fight, if you could call it that.
Details of the job:
Checking IDs, this is the primary responsibility.
Keeping an eye on the outdoor patio, make sure people aren't drinking where they shouldn't be.
Maintaining order. This goes without saying and is not difficult at this place.
Bringing up booze from the basement to restock, you need to be able to carry 50-100lbs up stairs (hopefully if you want to be a bouncer, you're strong).
Light bussing/cleaning duties. Just as needed. Not a big deal.
Walking female employees to their cars after close.
Hours are 9pm to 3am or 8pm to 3am on Friday/Saturday.
Benefits:
40% discount on food and beverages, on or off the clock
Working with cool people
Beautiful women approach you simply because you're a bouncer at a cool bar
Pay:
$9/hr
Honestly, I was a customer before I worked there and the pay is meaningless to me, I do it because it's 1) fun, 2) something to do, 3) those benefits I mentioned.
