I recently picked up a hx35 big H1c with the 18cm divided housing. I got a t3 tubular manifold and the turbo doesn't fit at all (hits the block). I want to get the BEP housing that everyone keeps talking about but am not sure which one. I'm thinking this one will let me bolt it on:

I want to keep the T3 inlet and can fab up the V-Band O2. I just want to make sure that this will bolt on without hitting the block. Has anyone used this or know where to get the correct one? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Generally speaking the bolt on housings are just that, bolt on, not hit the block and stuff. As long as you are fine on the compressor side, as far as I know, they do not make a housing that wont fit the stock location. It is the turbine housing that is contacting the block right? Those things are huge, I am not sure I have seen anyone use the stock housing for that turbo on a dsm before.

It's the hot side that's hitting. I just want to make sure I order the right one. I noticed the picture shows it has a 6 bolt pattern to connect it to the center housing. My turbo has a 4 bolt pattern. I've heard good things about the bolt on housing, so I'll give it a shot.

Well, so after a bunch of people telling me the BEP housing will work, I ordered it and it still hits the block... So basically I just wasted $250. From what I'm being told I need to order the ERL manifold. So if anyone is planning on running a T3 HX35, keep this in mind. The BEP housing IS NOT a bolt on housing...

Did you try the turbonetics cast mani someone was offering on rmdsm? Just curious if that worked with the T3 BEP housing.

Also, I thought the H1C was slightly smaller than a HX-35? Which blade HX-35 do you have?

I'm going to try the Turbonetics this weekend (borrowing it) but he said it didn't work with his turbo with the BEP housing. I have the "big" h1c 54mm 8-blade compressor.
I'll let you know how far off the fit is with the Turbonetics though.

I have personally seen the mitsu bolt on housings bolt up with a standard manifold and not hit the block. So your t3 manifold has an outlet too close to the block or something? Is the BEP housing for the t3 that much larger than the mitsu counterpart or is your manifold even closer than stock or ???

the HX35 housing in general is much larger than the mitsu housings. The outlet isn't any closer than a mitsu one that I could tell.

I have friend that has run both the t3 and the bep housing with no problem, other then the water pipe needing modification. He was using a Megan t3. When he switched to the bep housing to get better spool he switched to a FP cast manifold. Both manifolds put the turbo in the same location.

The only HX turbo that I have heard of not fitting well is the HX52. Now as far as I know the H1c was the old school version of the HX35. I've never heard of the big h1c.

What's it off of?

Holset h1c 54mm 8-blade compressor, what I term the big h1c since there's a 50mm and 44mm h1c. 18cm^2 or 22cm^2 turbine housing. Fits in any hx35 turbine housing. The big h1c comes off of the INTERCOOLED dodge cummins ram pickups and has the webbing for MWE but no actual groove cut in: Assembly number 3531456.
