I am trying to go with V3 of DSMLINK, and I'm looking into buying a GM MAF, so I can put this FMIC I purchased on.
Any advice on whether to go with 3" or 3.5" GM MAF? And also I am confused on whether I am required to use a certain GM MAF, like out of a Corvette, or are they the same?
Any clarification would be appreciated.

I would go with the 3" if your using 2.5" or 3" piping. I use a 3.5" and I think it causes a restriction because its so large compared to the rest of the piping.
The 3" are on a lot of GM applications and the 3.5" came on there LT1 and so on motors.

Do a search. When I was looking I found a list of cars that used GM MAS's that were compatible to a MAS-T. Might try the MAS-T forum.

I would just do the 3". A lot of people have gone very fast with those without issues.

Alright, thanks!
That clears up some confusion. I was trying to track down a 3.5" GM MAF, because I bought an IC and piping, the previous owner must have ran a 3.5" because the silicone coupler is huge.
So you can use pretty much any 3" GM MAF? It doesn't matter what vehicle? I know a friend got one off an ISUZU & it worked.
Is there a preferred model of GM vehicle to take it off? (a Vette) or are they the same, unless you have a Z06 3.5" or something?
I am trying to find a better quality one, with metal on both sides, so I won't break it.

So don't take my suggestion to search for the list. Don't expect this to happen very often, but here it is:

Also, the silicone coupler to fit a 3" MAF is huge too, so don't assume they are for a 3.5". The OD of the coupler on my 3.0" MAF is 3.70" This is compressed on the car, so would probably measure 3.75" off.
Good luck,
Terry

Hey,
Thanks for the link, sorry I guess I scrolled down too fast & didn't see your post about doing a search. Was rushing to get to work.
Thanks again.
