Colorado Track Day 2009 - Private Race Day

Just like every year, you get the track to yourself for and there's no limits of the number of passes you can make. This is a private event which means no crowds or staging lines.

$83 is the cost. This all goes to Bandimere and as always, I never make a dime off this event. This year I have decided to include the paypal fee of $3 so thats the reason of the $83. If you'd rather mail the payment and save the 3 bucks, just let me know and I'll send you my address.

The racer list will fill up fast so please keep that in mind. Its always a good idea to prepay to reserve your spot. This also helps with the early deposit thats required from Bandimere.

We're still looking for sponsors that can help contribute prizes and money. Any money from sponsors goes back to the racers to help offset the racing fee. If you know of any company that might be interested in sponsoring this year, please let me know.

Feel free to invite other racers and as always, spectators are free.

Also- Racing will probably start about 9:30am. Its always good to get there before that to get teched. Because they have to get ready for the night races, we have to stop racing at 3:15pm. We'll do the raffle and trophies at 3:30pm at the tech building. I wish I can get racing started sooner and make it last longer but thats the times Bandimere gave me and they won't budge.

Rain out date is August 21st. Hopefully that won't happen but thats the date I got from Bruce.

Everyone will receive $10 cash back at the gate thanks to Mike Pedrick and Don Bolton for contributing some money. With the left over funds, I'm getting some gift cards for Pep Boys, Autozone or Checkers for the raffle.

I will allow a few to pay at the gate but the cost goes up to $90 and they won't get back the $10. Thanks again to everyone that pre-paid. It really helps get that deposit up to $3200 required for Bandimere.

Spectators are also free so feel free to come and watch.

FYI... For those of you who know Bully Syclone will be there making its first appearance since running a 10.4 @ 145mph. Should be quite exciting to see as we expect its first 9 second 1/4 mile time ever

My pal Jason went 9.xx@150-something a couple years ago with his Syclone here in CO.

Edit: I'm looking for a video of a Colorado run made in that truck. The only one I've found of it so far is from Washington state. So I might have to retract the above statement lol.

That truck was for sale again about 6 months ago on SyTy.net. I almost considered buying it since I'm doing a Dart turbo V8 / 4L80 combo in my Typhoon and we all know how much cheaper it is to buy one already built.

So I guess John won't be the first locally owned AWD or Sy/Ty to break 9's here in Colorado.

Talked to John this morning. He said the truck is running flawless.:cool:

Yeah, Jason's was a V8, and it was carbed as well lol. It's injected now, as far as I know. I have not seen that Streetfire vid from Bandimere...that's great.

Either way, very cool to see another truck running that fast, and I hope your friend gets his time!
