I've got a friend who has a 96 Civic DX and his clutch just went out. Is anyone familiar enough with these Hondas that they would be willing to help him out? (not for free of course)

He's interested in swaping for a B18 but I don't know if he has the money to spend right now. Where could he find one for a good price?

Thanks,
Jesse Gildea

plenty of positive feedback, satisfied with every motor i've seen come out of there and they stand behind their motors.

Just some humor, but when I saw that tread title it seemed like you were calling for help because you realized you had a Honda. Sorry, just, found it funny for a second.

Anyway, I have heard good things about them too. Although Hondas do have the advantage of a lot of motors laying about.
A nice project for cheap if you don't mind junkyard diving is a B20 bottom end off a CRV (mini-SUV) with the head off an old Civic Si (B16) and then the intake from an Integra GSR (B18). At sea level that can make nearly 200WHP NA in a pretty reliable package. Probably would do well with a small amount of boost on race gas.
