I took the car to the dyno today. It became very clear I have a large intake restriction in my car after the first pull. Horsepower was crazy flat. But the car made two pulls and I got to drive it home.

446.7whp 323.7tq 1.21 correction factor
367whp 266tq uncorrected(6000ft)

Thanks to everyone who has made this possible over the past few years. Next step will likely involve either an aluminum rod 1.6L or a pauter rod 1.6L. I am wanting to see 550-600whp before I give up on the little motor.

What good is bragging about dyno records, get it to the track and put your "record" to the ground!!

Exactly bobby i know sure passed that number but never dynoed just cracked off some impressive times...Maybe you might dyno the car jared?
:D

Decent numbers steven i just thought it would be more, with that much boost on that size of a turbo...But who knows i doubt your overrunning anything at this point 50 trims put that power down everyday on stock stuff....I thought you were going to the track?

Honestly a much better power curve than I expected for such a huge turbo on such a weak motor (by weak I mean displacement and compression). I think it shows how much there is left on the table with a well built 1.6L. We shall see though as we are trying to talk Jared into dynoing the Widow. I think it may be close as well. Trap speed hp calculators and 2095 lbs race weight put the Widow at 403 whp uncorrected but I highly doubt that considering the condition of the old motor and mods at the time. The newer motor is much stronger and the mods added should really help power up top.

I def think there is a bottle neck on your car and more motor would really make things interesting.

My turd is 300lbs more than that car now. I got down there, but put 140lbs back in with the water system. Not to mention the water/air setup. I figure going to a hotpipe with methonal and a fuel cell could help me lose up to 100lbs. Then take that 140lbs out, and I may get close. For now, the cooling system stays, as it allows me to drive the car if I need too.

We will find out if there really is a bottle neck in the car. Hotpipe, methonal, and intake and 75mm+ throttle body should do something right? Even thinking about going up in cam size. Not sure if I trust FP4R or FP5R's on stock springs though.
