Took the car down to a narrow but fun course in Mexico. Totally worth the trip, but man, almost went off the road... When the rear came out before I would never get it back and would just be along for the ride. Some how I got it back this time and didn't go off.
Got the rear of the car fixed now so it finally doesn't swing out on me anymore. May have to go try it again the next time I have a few days off ;) Will also have to get some footage of the course in the day light because it's pretty badass! I wish roads could be closed off for racing here in the US like that.

Awesome save, last time I did that I decided I needed some better lights. Hit a hairpin off of a long straight, way overdrove the headlights, was on snow tires, hit gravel in the corner, end result 3 wheels in the air, and waiting for a truck to come by to help me back up the cliff but the car was fine and so was I ;)

Its awesome how Mexico has the same road signs as us. ;)
Wonder if you would have been able to save that without power steering?

It was the Mexican Hub & Mustache event. It happens about once a month if enough people show.
Done many laps out there and know the area very well. It really is a closed area. That spot I usually take pretty fast, but the rear end just came right out again on me. It doesn't do it anymore though.
Without power steering it would have been over and with a better driver the rear could have probably been saved without overcorrecting like I did. I was just trying to keep from going off the road and the only way to do it was to keep turning the wheel and let the rear keep moving out. It's pretty cool how things go real slow when you are in the middle of something like that.

Cycling through Mexico at night is pretty dangerous. Good idea.

Went to Mexico again this weekend. This time a friend was showing me a new road that was blocked off by police to let a few of us run through it at speed. It was a pretty long stretch. Some small parts of it on vid.
