Ok ive been toying with the idea of doing the mustang TB on my 91 TSi. Ive read that you cant use your IAC And gotta wire in a mustang TPS. but also read somewhere that DSMlink can control the IAC. so im wondering if anyone has experiance with this mod. Im kinda sick of blowing TB seals on the factory TB and if i get the bigger TB i can switch to the SMIM i have collecting dust in the garage

For what it is worth...
I had very bad luck with several mustang throttle bodies. They are just not designed to take boost IMO and each one of them leaked badly out of the shaft seals (like could not boost leak test over 10psi). This was with a stock mustang throttle body and a brand new Accufab throttle body I did this with a few years ago.
Also back then (3-4 years ago) everyone and there mother was breaking them and eating them into the engine. It was at that point I took my 75mm TB flange off my Magnus manifold and welded on a 90mm Q45 throttle body flange and went that route. Extra BOVs helped with the digesting I've heard, but they still scare me because of that. Plus the Q45 is bigger right. :)
I'm sure since then that they've made some improvements in the mustang TBs for our cars, but I'm glad I went with the Q45 in the end because it is bigger, was cheaper than a upgraded 75mm Mustang TB and works just as good.
You should be able to find Q45 TBs for $80-100 on dsmtrader and ebay.

The FFtec unit is the best I have owned. I also tried the stock mustang throttle body first but, after the upgrade all is well.

Same as the Mustang TB. You get a flange to mount it too and you can either wire in its TPS or there is an adapter plate that can be used to mount a DSM TPS to it.
Stock Mustang TB 60mm (2.5 inches)
upgraded mustang 75mm (3 inches)
Q45 TB 90mm (3.5 inches)
There is lots of information out there on both TB upgrades on different boards. DSMTuners.com should have most of the info you're looking for I'd think.
