Ok quick question.

Is a 80/20 mix of 91 and e85 ok to run when trying to pass emissions or should I just go with the 85 octane tune with 12 psi? I am wondering also that if I have a s16g with 550s, afpr, safc2, 255 walbero, and I have a wideband if I could even run the 80/20 blend.

I have been reading around about people doing this and after I get the car running again I would love to be able to run on a little e85.

Thanks for the help

Chad,

If you run 60 PSI of base fuel pressure and 16 PSI of boost you should about max out your injectors with a 20% E-85 and 80% gas mix.

550's are quite marginal with E-85. I assume you have a wide band or logger now or you will probably not be able to set your fuel trims correctly to pass emissions, assuming you add 20% E85.

Good luck,

Terry

Oh yea I have a wide band. I also have a logger. I am setting my timing and base fuel pressure this weekend to the stock levels. *5 and 38 psi of fuel pressure on the 1g. So if I run a 80/20 blend would I be ok?

Should be good. Watch your wide band to keep it from going too lean at higher boost.
