I had a slight intake leak where the injector meets the intake mani. So I got the groumets and o-rings. The dealership gave me 3 orange and one black o-rings. The orange ones were slightly thicker than the black ones. After 30 minutes of tuning on the street w/ NOS, there was a strong smell of gas. When I opened the hood, there was at least a liter of fuel on the intake mani.
I had to let the car cool down and soak as much fuel w/ several napkins and misc. paper before driving any further. After inspection I found this.

Did you install the o-rings into the rail dry?
Looks like an installation tear to me. Next time, coat the o-rings in engine oil and they'll slide in nicely with no fear of tearing.

Yes I installed them dry. Next time, I'll lube the o-rings.

I just use spit as well. That way it dries in place. I never like to use oil on any surfaces that I'm concerned with leaking. So far no leaks on my car...
Make absolute sertain that the injectors are completely installed correctly and squarely in the holes. With after market injectors this can be easily overlooked thinking they are all the way in.
Anyway. I wonder if our o-rings are E-85 safe?

Oiling the o-rings does no harm to them in any way. Think about it. Fuel has a MUCH smaller molecule than the oil that's simply lubricating it. The fuel will wash the oil away upon startup anyway.
I've never been a fan of chancing fuel leaks. 7+ years and no ripped o-rings with lube. Without (or any other lube), yeah, I've ripped a few...
E85 is seeming to have no odd effects on my injector o-rings so far. The injector seals on my 950's when they came off of the car still looked brand new and very pliable.

Thanks Marcus. I'm starting a new thred on alternative fuels can you recommend, or comment on your experience with this so far and what was neccessary to replace or modify to use E-85?
