Anyone familiar with bleeding a clutch on a Saturn (2002 SL2)? I've never touched a Saturn and I've read some information that you cannot bleed out air bubbles from the hydraulic system. Anyone know if there is any truth behind this? I don't understand how there can be a bleeder valve without the ablility to bleed the system. It's simply a matter of pushing out the old fluid (air bubbles and all) and replacing with fresh fluid.

Also can anyone tell me if there is anything more involved when bleeding the clutch on a Saturn than a DSM? I'm assuming the process is very simmilar to a DSM (which I've done more than I care to admit  ).

I have to do this during lunch in my office parking lot so I need to make sure I have everything necessary.

Trying to help out a friend,

locate the master cylinder, follow the hard clutch line down to the slave cylinder, its a small cylinder that the clutchline should lead to and feed into, there should be a little nipple sticking out, put a vaccuum line on it or any small hose, this is the bleed line, you will put a bottle of clutch fluid over the little hose, so basically the hose should come off of the bleed nipple, into a full bottle of brake fluid, get a wrench, loosen the bleed nipple go up to the master cylinder resevoir(sp?) and put brake fluid in there, this will require two people by the way incase you didnt notice, and begin to pump the clutch, 3 to 4 times in repetition, making sure that the master cylinder doesn't go empty, and keep going until you stop seeing fluid being sucked from the master cylinder and no more air bubbles go into the brake cleaner bottle.
