Going with the Holset hx35 , 12 blade hot , 8 blade cold. Most likely will run a bep internal gate housing unless I can find another exhaust housing to run an external . Also will quiet the exhaust so the turbo whine/blow off valve is more noticeable. Any input/ advice from someone running this turbo? Thanks, jim.

I have always been a fan of external gates. What are planning on running for boost on the lowest side?

Jim,

What is the A/R of the hot side of that turbo?

I have the hx35 (bigH1C) with the big BEP T3 housing (I think it's the .70ar?) I would suggest going with the external gate. You'll get much better boost control and response with the external. Do it once and do it right.
I previously had an HX40 with an internal gate and boost control was a huge PITA.

I agree about the comment above about external gates. Do it once and call it a day.

Well, I will have to research on a/r of hotside, most likely external gate, boost level , old set up 25-28 psi. , engine is built for 30psi easily , also stock 6 bolt internals fresh this year. I am in the process of teardown with the trans and engine again for next season. Hopefully the last time this happens in this car at least.
Jim.
