I decided to try my luck at the US Performance Street shootout at Bandimere today. It was a great day for racing, not too hot, some cloud cover.
My first run was about 10am running a little over 28lbs of boost and 12.0 AFR
60' 1.717 (I was suprised by this because it didn't feel that fast)
330 4.940
1/8 7.601
MPH 96.07
1000 9.816
1/4 11.658
MPH 123.50
This was with some poor shifting. Just not a great run and I knew I could do better.
Next practice run was about noon running a little over 28lbs but a little more timing and 12.5AFR
60' 1.888 (Bogged a little on the new twin disc)
330 5.088
1/8 7.581
MPH 99.97
1000 9.736
1/4 11.539 !! New Personal Best !!
MPH 125.67 !! New Personal Best !!
Much better shifting this time, a little less nervous. :D
Next was my elimanation run about 2:30pm
R/T -.062 and well that's all well say about that run.
All in all the car felt strong, and definitely has more power in there. Transmission built by Jack shifted like butter at 8K and the twin disc held up just fine.
Next time I plan to run an even 30 lbs with some more timing. Biggest thing I need work on is how to properly launch with twin disc clutch - man does it grab and grab hard!
Big Thanks to Kenny H and Erron S. for helping with the pit crew duties today!
