Colorado Track Day 2010

9th Annual COLORADO TRACK DAY

DATE: Friday June 11th, 2010
Time: 9am to 4pm
Where: Bandimere Speedway
Rainout Date: Friday June 25th, 2010

-Private race event
-All cars and motorcycles are welcome to race
-No more than 80 cars will be allowed in
-Cars must pass tech and not be quicker than 7.50
-All normal Test-N-Tune rules will apply
-Gates open at 8am, Racing will start after 9am
-High octane fuel and nitrous pumps will be in service
-Food concessions will be open
-Spectators are FREE!

Price- $83.00

That’s right! We are doing this AGAIN! This will be the 9th year of hosting this event and we're set for June 11th.

Basically it’s an all day event of racing with no staging lines or crowds. 30 runs easy if you really wanted to hot lap your car!

Fee to race is $83. Bandimere charges $80 for each racer. I have to charge the extra 3 bucks to cover the paypal fee. If you wish to mail your payment, you can save the $3 so just PM for mailing address.

Last year we were able to hand back cash at the gate and hand out some nice prizes because of some great sponsors that stepped forward. This year I think we'll be able to that again. I never make money from this event since its FOR the racers. Anyone is welcome to race. Doesn't matter if you have an 8 second car or a scooter!

Why pay early? Its important that we get enough people to pay early so we can give Bandimere the large deposit needed to hold our June 11th day. I realize many can’t do this right now but for those that can, it really helps.

Sponsors: We are looking for sponsors this year who want to contribute money or prizes for the raffle. Again, all sponsor funds collected go back to the racers. Please contact me on more details if your company would like to help sponsor the event.

I managed to get my 3950lb. whore down the track to a best of 11.309@123.76 today. It was a blasty-blast.

First thanks goes to shawn for a great job on the day rental and thanks to the sponsors also...




I started out the day running 20 psi then slowly up the boost till i figured out that i was having spark blow out with anything over 24psi wich sucks...My plugs are gapped at 18 thousands running bpr8es ngks i must have a weak coil or something need to figure it out before i go back to the track....So i stayed at 24ish more like 23psi for the rest of the day i had weak 1.7 sixty s i couldnt control the spinning out of the hole did awd burnouts, that didnt work i dropped the 2 step down with nothing helping i made the best of it....

I had a total of 20 runs today the car drove there and home the n/a longblock is taking a beating i love it...

Well enough of the chit chat and excuses my best new time for this car is 12.1 at 114mph and backed it up with anothe 12.1 at 114mph..

I went 12.2 like 8 times in a row and some 12.3's



Also always remeber your hood pins i had a scare today the hood stayed down but lift a little i got out of it about gave me a heart attack....lol

Also i want to add still on the 18g and stock n/a 4g63 longblock with a stock tranny car is caged and has full interior ...

Thanks! Now its time to lighten up the fat pig and push the boost to 40psi. Currently 3365 with me in it. 12lb rotors, 2 piece alum driveshaft, CF trunk (painted white), lighter tires coming soon.

Congrats to you Mike and Davis for your new times. You got that GTO dialed in. 10's are definitely possible with the HP you're running but I know you don't want to cage the car. I'm glad Bandimere wasn't giving you a hard time about that yesterday. I know they gave Jared a hard time about his rubber valve stems and wouldn't let him run faster than 11.5. Then poor Jared had problems with his plugs. Whole entire insulator around the electrode blew out! Those Iridium plugs SUCK!
