I have an Evo9 catalytic converter that I want to trade in for cash...I have been quoted as high as 58$ at a local recycling company. Anybody know where I could get more dough somewhere else haha:D???

Any luck selling that thing? I have a cat and pre-cat from an '05 STi that are almost new that might be worth a little $$ too.

About a year (or more) back we were selling old volvo catalysts for about $150 depending on how much of the brick was left in them.

This was at the same time when scrap went for a crap load more than what it is now.

Now. We'd be lucky to get $30 out of the same cat from some of the scrap guys who come around looking for them.

I ended up taking it to All Recycling for 58$. That was the best local deal I could find...supposedly there was a cat-recycling company here, but they must be out of business now.

Hold on to those things like baseball cards... Just like the economy, it has its ups and downs. In 05 I sold one from my 90 tsi for 100 shipped.

Back from the dead! There's a company on 3si that was buying a ton of these a while back...Martin Metals maybe? Out of state but good prices for good units.
