Testing Pins

I switched out the ABS ECU and I still have a problem. Reading the manual it says to test the pins. I have two probes on the multimeter and one pin. Do I just use the positive and ground the negative? I've tried to stay away from this electrical "stuff".

What is the output that you are trying to read? Well, really doesn't matter, yes the other probe should be grounded. I'm guessing a pulse count of sorts to extrapolate a number?

No, I was going to leave that up to you. I was trying to test for voltage per the test procedures in the manual.
