If that's the same car I'm thinking it is, it's actually put down like 1012HP/900ft-lbs.
Ludicrous.

Simple and clean-looking setup, I like it. :)
I thought they omitted an IC...forgot that it has an L2A, stock. Very cool!

he actually raced a supra in the gt tt, looked to be a knockout win by the gt tt. Quite the amazing car, considering the stock fuel system is still in use!

If you can't tuck each turbo down to each side of the motor, I'd rather use a big single in that situation. I think he'd have had more room to work, and been able to get air into the system better.

That would be a BIG single...doesn't that thing use twin gt42's or something?

They didn't look that big to me, but I don't know. I'd still think it would be easier to put a single GT45+ or T05-frame turbo in there and make it flow well than it was to wedge those two turbos in there with the funky inlet Y-pipe.

isn't it more efficient to run a 2 turbo system on a v8? Most of the v8 mustang guys do this.

I don't think it's any more "efficient" than using two T-25s would be for us. I think there are two factors, plumbing and psychology. OK, one small third one - you can spin up two smaller ones a bit quicker than one big one, which is the excuse everyone uses but in reality I think it's the other two. On a V-motor, if you can tuck each turbo in close and low, the plumbing is nice and clean. Which brings us to psychology...if all else is equal, humans like symmetry. 4 cylinder enthusiasts gave up on symmetry from the beginning, but V8 guys have mostly always had it. It makes their engine bays look good, and they sometimes even trade away a bit of performance to keep it, which I believe happened in this case. Strange theory, I know...

I think Carl's spot-on here, based on what I've seen in the GTO community. Finally, a shop has produced a single-turbo kit, and I gotta tell ya - I'd plunder a South American village to get my hands on their headers. My Garrett hanging out back is still bothering me; it belongs under the hood.

Hey, if it's not broke...
So does it work? I haven't heard any updates from you since the cam debacle. So how's it running?

Yesterday was the first day I actually got to take it out on the road. I had it running last weekend, but the crank seal started leaking, so I had to tear the front end all down again. Yesterday afternoon, I got the front end back together and actually took it out for a cautious test drive (the tune is still bone stock, but I'm only running on wastegate pressure of 4-5psi). Torque starts building pretty nicely by 2K RPMs, and by 3K, the fun starts happening. The new cam and full spool start picking up steam at the same point, so it goes from typical-LS1-torque to clear-the-runway pretty quickly. I didn't take it over 80% throttle, though.
Brought it home and found another oil leak, so it's back on stands again right now. I hope to have that sorted out early today, and then back out for some tuning this afternoon.
4psi feels like a strong gain. REAL strong. I'm hoping to have it tuned for 8psi within a couple of weeks.
