This will be the 10th year of hosting this event and we're set for August 5th.

Basically it’s an all day event of racing with no staging lines or crowds. 30 runs easy if you really wanted to hot lap your car!

Fee to race is $83. Bandimere charges $80 for each racer. I have to charge the extra 3 bucks to cover the paypal fee. If you wish to mail your payment, you can save the $3 so just PM for mailing address.

Last year we were able to hand back cash at the gate and hand out some nice prizes because of some great sponsors that stepped forward. This year I think we'll be able to that again. I never make money from this event since its FOR the racers. Anyone is welcome to race. Doesn't matter if you have an 8 second car or a scooter!

Paypal: shawn@coloradotrackday.com
Total amount is $83 and don’t forget to send your year and make of the car you’re racing.

Why pay early? Its important that we get enough people to pay early so we can give Bandimere the large deposit needed to hold our June 11th day. I realize many can’t do this right now but for those that can, it really helps.

Sponsors: We are looking for sponsors this year who want to contribute money or prizes for the raffle. Again, all sponsor funds collected go back to the racers. Please contact me on more details if your company would like to help sponsor the event.

Keep checking www.coloradotrackday.com site for updates including the racer list. Also check out pictures from previous years!

Feel free to ask any questions about the event.

Let's get some CODSMers on the list.

I'll take challengers; I got $20 that says I'm faster. :D

Well, another Track Day is in the books. I drove my car to the track, but unfortunately, it left on a trailer. :(

080511 Track Day - First Run of the Day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUPExiF_Wuk)

080511 Track Day - New Personal Best (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUUwhGRMFl0)

080511 Track Day - The Death of a 4L65E (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xp0oyDP2i4)

SO close. Car weighed 3740 with me in the driver's seat.

Mike,

Sorry to hear of your problem. Hope you get it back in even stronger condition.

6L80 swap? ;)
I'd KILL for a 6-speed transmission, but a 6L80 isn't an option.

I'm looking at a built 4L65, but it's looking like it's a $2500 punch in the nuggets for one that will support the power I'm putting down.

If I can put the money together, I'm thinking it's time also to tub the rear end and upgrade from the 275-series tires I run now. That $2500 hit becomes more like $6K down that road.

Weren't you running drag radials?

Yeah. 275/50 M/T ET Streets.

I would go with slicks that will fit without tubs first. Lots of fast cars run on small slicks.

It's been driving me bananas, sir. Was that you at the gas hut?

I'm not so worried about the track. She hooks pretty freaking well there.

But on the street? My 275/30/19s will wheel at 45 if given half a chance.

Not sure if you are talking to me, but I never went to the upper parking area let alone the gas hutch.

I was. Saw someone up there that looked an awfully lot like you, but I was in such a trance that it could have been Bart Simpson and I'd know no better.
