That black section on each side really seems to break up the car's lines. Considering the competition in that price range, I'd be hard-pressed to choose an R8 over some of them until it's proven--although it sounds like a pretty good layout (mid-engine). Then again, some people just like being different, the whole "new kid on the block" syndrome. Not that I have money like that to spend anyhow. :p

True, then again, considering the ALMS history with the R8 and Audi in general, there is some serious heritage there. The tested specs of the car will be the kicker I believe.
