I had a few passing thoughts about SC last Sunday. A few years ago I went to SC on Mother's Day.

There's also La Junta.

Is the pavement still there? At the rate the housing market is going, I wouldn't be surprised if it magically became a track again in a few years if no money has been put into subdivision infrastructure.

Don't know Carl, haven't been there since. I think Paul told me the grandstands were taken down?

It won't happen. All equipment is gone. Grandstands, trailer electrical outlets, and I think the tires from tire walls too. It is not the need to develope it that sealed it's doom it was the proximity of the houses that have closed in on it.

go figure, the build houses near a race course, people move in next to the race course and then they complain aboutthe race course... something doesn't seem right about that...

Pavement is still there. Track is in decent condition considering no one is there to work on it. Some weeds, couple spots of dirt.

It's happening all over the country. Problem is road courses don't have legislation like golf courses that protect them from encroaching development. I wish they did so stupid people who move in next door can't force them out.
